As you've seen I usually like posting sweet recipes, but it doesn't mean that I keep eating cake all day long...I believe that eating lots of greens is really important and I find really disappointing when people think about them just as side dishes. Recently I bought Green Kitchen Travels book and I was instantly in love with it and I had to find out more about the writers...and that's how I discover their amazing blog Green Kitchen Stories. This is one of their recipes, we tried it yesterday for the first time and it won't be the last time! It was delicious and really easy to make. We combined it with just some bread we had at home, nothing fancy, and some alioli. Hope you like it too! Ingredients for about 6-8 burgers: 750 ml grated raw beetroots 150 g rolled oats 1 small onion 200 g sheep’s feta cheese 2 cloves garlic 2 tbsp olive oil 2 organic eggs 1 handful fresh basil Salt/pepper

Being a mom of a 2 years old boy usually means that me-time is almost non existent, so the days that I am lucky enough to drink a coffee and read something quietly must be celebrated with some treat don't you think? Usually I'd have chosen a classic chocolate brownie, but this time I wanted to try something new so I rescued from my book collection Martha Stewart's Cookies and I started looking for a recipe...and I found this! Cream cheese Brownies! They were not difficult to make and were delicious!! so if you are looking for an alternative to chocolate, you should definitely try this. Ingredients
This week I was nominated to a Liebster Blog Award by Sanne Eva from the lovely blog Food love+ Sparkle this gave me the chance to discover her beautiful blog. I just started blogging a couple of months ago, so I feel really honored by this nomination. Thank you Sanne Eva!
The Liebster Blog Award is a virtual award given by bloggers to small/new blogs (under 200 followers) that gives the opportunity to reach more people and get in contact with other bloggers. When you are nominated you get a list of questions, usually between 5 and 11, from the blog who nominated you and the idea is that after answering this questions in a post (with a link to the blog that nominated you) you have to nominate other blogs too and make a list of question for them! Isn't it a nice to way to meet new blogs! In this post I'll answer the questions first and I'll post my list of nominees to end it. What do you have for breakfast? (Waar ontbijt je mee?) I love breakfast, but I'm usually on the run! During the weekdays I try to start the day with a big bowl of granola with nuts and fuit, usually berries and banana , and of course a good cup of coffee...I have 2 years old boy so I really need a lot of energy supplies! Weekends I like to prepare a big breakfast, I love baking pancakes and fresh smoothies! Which dish makes you think about the old days? (Welk gerecht herinnert je aan vroeger?) I think I'll have to say macaroni with tomato sauce and chorizo and boiled egg. My grandfather used to make it every time we stayed at his place. There's nothing fancy in the recipe, the ingredients are simple, but it tastes so good and it always brings back the memory of my grandpa. What do you eat when you don't have any inspiration of have no time to cook? (Wat eet je als je geen inspiratie of geen tijd hebt om te koken?) Oh those days! when we are really lazy to cook and don't/can't go out, we use our reserves of cheese and crackers! we are addicted to cheese so we always have a good selection at home, so those days we prepare a tomato onion salad and combine it with a big cheese platter. What do you like the most about blogging? (Wat vind je het allerleukste aan bloggen?) I'm still a beginner in the blogging world, but so far I really enjoy meeting new people everyday. I love the fact that blogging is like having an open window to the world no matter where you are! (ok this last thing sounded a bit cheesy...but when you are at home with your crazy 2 year old is SO nice to be able to escape for a while!) And what is the most difficult thing about it? (En wat het minst leuke of lastigste?) Well that's an easy one! Time!! I love writing and sharing my posts, but sometimes is quite difficult to find the time or the energy to start. And maybe the lack of confidence in the beginning! Which is your favorite post on your blog? (Wat is je favoriete post op je eigen blog?) I don't have a favorite, I'm still learning and I feel more comfortable every time...but if I had to choose one I think that the Roscón will be the winner because it was my first experience with bread and I was lucky to share it with my family. Is there any thing that you would do differently now than when you started blogging? (Zijn er dingen die je nu anders doet dan toen je net begon met bloggen?) I think I'll have started sooner blogging! For who would you like to cook one day? (Voor wie zou je nog wel eens willen koken?) For me the best parties are always with friends so I'd love to organize a big dinner with ALL of them! so I guess that will be the challenge for this summer! And from who would you like to take a cooking lesson? (En van wie zou je nog wel eens een kookles willen?) I can answer that within a second: Jamie Oliver! I love everything this guy has accomplished for the cooking/food culture...I started cooking thanks to his TV shows and love that he can get so excited about food! I hope you enjoyed reading my answers and that you could learn a little bit more about me! The blogs I'm nominating are:
